NAIAD of New Hampshire Inc.
Chip Klinck, Owner/President NAIAD OF NEW HAMPSHIRE INC.
My Associates and I have been involved in the plastic industry since 1964. In 1967,
we Incorporated National Plastifab Inc. We were a pioneer company in the acid resistant plastic pipe v, valves and Fittings. Our niche was servicing the plastic fabricating industry for their needs in plastic sheet , welding rod and welding equipment. As time went on, we realized that potential customers were not on the same page as we were as far as the correct way to weld plastics or the right equipment to utilize. In 1970 National Plastifab started its own fab shop and fabricated the correct way to weld plastics, utilizing stress relieved sheet stock and nitrogen gas for welding.( incidentally we will be introducing the next generation of our new nitrogen saver in 6 weeks). We decided to diversify our company in 1978 and to become manufacturers representatives instead of distributors in the plastic industry and have stayed the course since then. Our plastic welding equipment has graduated to the lager machines including butt weld and bending machines. HSK Plastic Welding Technology GmbH is our principle manufacturer from Germany. Today we are at the cutting edge of introducing our new machines to the corrugated box industry for the manufacturing of boxes and reusable pallets for the shipping industry (videos are available upon request)

NEW WELDING TIP
We have introduced a new speed welding tip for a 3/16 triangle rod sometimes called the MW . Our company at National Plastifab introduced this rod back in the late 60’s. It has been a favorite in the New England area for years. This tip is a combination tip the has a tacking tip that swings down over the bottom of the orifice for the tri rod. This is a time saver as you do not have to use another torch or unscrew the tip that is in use. If you are using nitrogen it also can save in that area because most welders do not shut off the nitrogen while picking up the torch to change tips. So this is a combination 3/16 triangle tip and a tacking tip. This tip has a Leister thread. We also have adapters for the threads of Laramy,Wegener, Kamweld or Seely welders allowing it to be used on your particular welder.
This spark tester is a leak detection device. This tool will detect any leakage in a plastic weld. Just hold a piece of metal in back of the weld and turn on the device, if a spark transmits you know you have a leak where the spark is transmitted through the plastic weld.

Model N2S100 Nitrogen Saver offers accurate, dependable flow of nitrogen for hot gas welding of plastic materials. The N2S100 automatically switches from nitrogen (while welding) to compressed air (while idle) greatly reducing nitrogen consumption. Unlike other nitrogen savers, the N2S100 has no pressure regulator. Instead, it has independent, adjustable flow meters allowing precise control of gas flow thru the torch. This unique design allows for a large variation of pressure between inlet gasses (30 PSI to 100 PSI). The unit is constructed of heavy gauge steel and can be wall mounted or set on a bench top. The universal torch rest will accommodate most brands of torches and custom brackets are available for specific applications. Operates on 120 VAC, includes an 8-ft cord, an illuminated power switch and a 15 amp receptacle for the torch. Air flow continues through torch when power is turned off. Gas connections are brass ¼” NPT. The AXENICS nitrogen saver is designed to provide trouble free operation. Overall dimensions 8" x 6" x 4/12" deep

An exciting new application for the Nitrogen saver
We recently sold our nitrogen saver into the soldering industry. It is used for the soldering of aviation parts that have to be worked in a nitrogen atmosphere to avoid any contamination. This unit saves over 50% of nitrogen used in that application. Customer is Lockheed-Martin.
They chose our new nitrogen saver for the soldering on circuit boards for solar panels that are going out into space.
"AN INTERESTING APPLICATION"
I received an interesting call a few months ago. The client was asking for a Drader welding gun, they were told this would be the best tool to weld PVC. This was not correct, the Drader would not weld PVC as an extruder. I asked him what was he trying to weld? Eric Hedberg, the Owner of this Company, informed me he was welding PVC foam or as a trade name Azac Over a period of a month or so I sold him the correct welding guns, these were the LEISTER welding Pen S specifically designed for welding PVC and is the best gun on the market for this operation. After learning how he was joining the material, I arranged a meeting with a solvent cement supplier (He was using epoxy) I also arranged a meeting with a manufacturer of PVC Foam. I am sure if you mention this to Eric he would indicate we are a very valuable source of suppliers and that we have saved him a great deal of money with our knowledge of the plastic industry.
